done & dusted

Urban Decay definitely has lightweight, long-wear stuff on lock. I’ve never said no to their powders, fixatives, or foundations/concealer and I generally hear positive feedback about their wide shade range.

For Fall I often get into a sort of 90’s mood with a stained-ish lip and a more demi-matte finish to everything. It’s funny how shiny in the summer reads as dewy, but when the season changes I become highly aware of my oily forehead ; )

A good powder needs to be oil absorbing enough to matte out your finish, but never dusty or chalky, and most importantly it has to work with your skintone! It’s been decades and decades of pale powders and “translucent” powder that was in fact pretty white … so the shade range is key. The Ultimate Brush Off by Urban Decay includes options for pale to deep tones, with a very sheer translucent. Its finely milled vegan powder also blends with your foundation to extend the wear, or can be used alone as a sort of sheer powder “skin tint” as it were.

The Ultimate Brush Set & Go Off by Urban Decay comes with the brush inside, so it’s perfect for living next to your desk for touch ups in between Zooms. I also like using it with a sponge for a little bit more of a concealer effect under eyes, as well in the corners of my nose and on my forehead, to even out my skintone and set in the powder a little more for longer lasting oil slick prevention!
