new thinking / new shadows

Bodyography is one of those mainstay-yet-under the radar brands that we love over here. They’re not flashy looking, the prices reflect the professional quality ingredients (vs. being “cheap” or very luxe for the sake of it), and they have a great professionals program. Even more importantly, though, they are 100% cruelty-free, PETA certified, and have a lot of vegan, talc-free, paraben-free and mineral oil free options. They also took on an initiative that reduced their plastic usage by 35% - that’s a lot! More brands need to think this way … and it’s not easy. I work in product development - usually there is a reason for the plastic and it’s hard to find a way around it without spending money in other places on the product - yet it’s not fair to raise prices to the consumer. So - I really applaud their success here so far.

Anyway, that’s all nice but is there cute stuff? …. Yah, here is some: the Crystal Glide Liquid Eyeshadow.

Tatum confessed that she used to use lip gloss as eye shadow so she feels like this is her dream come true. We don’t judge! But that sounds sticky and weird. These liquid metal Crystal Glide Liquid EyeShadows are … not that. They’re super lightweight and long lasting, looking fabulous for up to 24 hours. Available in 6 vibrant, intense shades, the Crystal Glide Liquid Eyeshadows by Bodyography can also be used as an eyeliner, which is completely my jam. These are a really amazing hybrid of a true cream eyeshadow (you know the type - it’s like a shimmery cream that can crease) and those liquid shadow formulas that sort of dry up as soon as they hit air (not sure i love those - they have like no play time).

The marriage of creamy with stay-proof is awesome and the shades are super-wearable. Just because it’s called Bodyography … I’m not sure it means you can put them anywhere on your body (lipstick much? I mean, probably would work!) - but I’m guessing Tatum will be the judge of that….
