Bold & Bare is a super-minimalist skincare brand with only 2 products - which as I’ve said before - I deeply respect! No reason to make more than your beauty philosophy supports … and in the case of founder Iana Bertini, that philosophy is about feeling so good in your skin that you feel confident with or without makeup or a ton of steps in your regimen. Her products are designed to help you get “bare skin confident” - a phrase I know we all can relate to.

The Bare Elixir is such a pure and simple thing. It’s a dry oil serum delivering Hyaluronic Acid, Peptides, Peony Extract, Avocado Oil, Gotu Kola and Rosehip - with no parabens, petroleum product, mineral oil, silicone, colors or fragrance. It doesn’t smell intensely like many of the super-serums out there, and it goes on in a really light layer that leaves a moisturizing glow. It really delivers on the bare-skin-but-better promise.

I find it’s light enough to act as a base for foundation, but nourishing enough for night time … so it’s become a go-to for me. Even though I do love skincare oils that have more of a high end hippy spa smell, and you know we love our fancy packaging around here … I really appreciate the BASICness of this powerhouse. Sometimes less can actually be more.
