I love trying “Natural Enough to Eat” products. Okay, try, not actually … consume. But as a Colorado-raised flower child, using ‘green’ products feels good … like I’m doing the earth a favor, as well as my face.

Green Goddess Indie Lee falls into this “natural enough to eat” category. She has a very interesting story, and a great blog. I recently tried two products from her line, both of which sent me into a spiral of aromatic-induced nostalgia.

First: the Brightening Cleanser, made with purified water and strawberry oil, smells exactly like my grandparents garden growing up. (Dawwww.) The strawberry oil acts as an anti-oxidant as well as an exfoliant, leaving your skin vibrantly clean and well hydrated. It read on the box “works well with mechanical cleansing devices” … Foreo Luna + Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser = perfect storm on face - in a good way!

Second: the Hydrating Body Balm, made with jojoba oil, avocado oil, and beeswax, takes me back to the Pelindaba Lavender Farms in the San Juan islands, possibly the best smelling place on earth. I gave my abused-via-walking-too-much-in-tall-shoes feet a bit of special attention and took a small finger full of this balm to my heels. Earth and feet were very satisfied.

Does This: Hydrates and Brightens naturally, and whilst smelling amazing
Is This: Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser and Hydrating Body Balm
Get This: At Dermstore
Price: Both are $32
