90's till Now

Lord & Berry is an under-the-radar color brand developed in Milan in the the heart of the 90’s. Driven by backstage research, custom formulas, and the highest quality raw materials, it’s a bit like MAC without the expensive ad campaigns (and markup). It’s awesome to read reviews of the brand from diehards who discovered it at the drugstore back in the day for $2.99 and have stayed the course as the brand has grown - that’s the kind of cult we love.

Something I know for sure from the beauty biz is Italians makes the best color pencils. It’s a fact, it’s a factory (or 20) - and now you know. I’m all about using pencils instead of pretty much anything else (lipstick, eyeshadow … who needs those things really? especially while traveling) - and these are silky smooth and super pigmented. The Silk Kajal Kohl Eye Liner is semi-matte and more smudgy for smokey looks. For long lasting and stay proof intensity, the Smudgeproof Eye Pencil is waterproof lasts up to 24 hours. For something in between, the Line/Shade Eye Pencil does it all and comes in a very solid range of essential colors … I’ve been traveling with the Coffee shade and I use it for my brows, lash line, and as a subtle smokey shadow on my lower lash line.

The other thing taking up permanent residence in my bag is the Ultimate Lip Liner - it’s waterproof, moisturizing, and blendable - which are things that are actually hard to find all together in one formula. I hate a hard lip line but at the same time I want it stay proof. I do a lip line with this guy on “dry” (no balm or gloss) lips, then blend it in with gloss or balm. It’s like baby Kylie vibes … not too intensely lined or matte but definitely both natural and impactful. The shade range is also thoughtful in terms of going into deeper true lip colors versus just a range of pinks and nudes.
