Uh, I just bugged out.  The best monoi oil under the sun is available in like 80 different fragrances!  And with SPF.  Whaaaat??? 

Monoi oil is one of those beautiful breeds of cult beauty products that triples as a moisturizer, conditioner and fragrance oil.  It’s a cult Polynesian beauty secret, painstakingly made from Tahitian gardenias (tiare) soaked in a coconut oil base.  Much like champagne, you can find “monoi oil” all over, but the real deal is manufactured in a specific manner and granted an Appellation of Origin.

The “original flavor” is a gorgeous scent but I discovered Monai Tiare Tahiti carries Jasmine, Frangipani, Ylang-Ylang, Sandalwood and Vanilla.  They also carry a tanning version with iodine - that’s so old school!

Does this: A wonderful fragrance alternative for the summer that doubles as a body and hair moisturizer - and tanning oil, if you insist on going low-SPF.
