Resolution #2

Chill the f. out more often! Do you feel me on this? It’s so difficult to step away from the interwebs, your phone, work, etc. to just tune out - but it’s so important!

My favorite thing to do is just sit in the shower (literally sit) with Young Living oils.  It only takes a few minutes but I always feel really revived and/or sleep like a baby afterwards.

When I was pregnant with my son, this brand was recommended to me.  They are quite expensive but extremely high quality and certainly THE cult brand of aromatherapy oil.  I’m not sure I took all this essential oil stuff seriously until I went to a holistic health store and these bad boys were LOCKED IN A CASE behind the counter.  It struck me as a great irony - but perhaps not … if you’re really stressed out I guess you might be driven to jack some oils.  In any case, an employee helped me select a couple and I’ve been using them ever since.

I love the blends!  It’s so great to have the solution mixed for you rather than having to figure out which oil is good for what.

1. Motivation - “Enhances the ability to move forward in a positive direction.” Roman chamomile, spruce, ylang ylang, lavender ($58.88).

2. Release - “Facilitate(s) the ability to release anger and frustration.” Ylang ylang, lavandin, geranium, sandalwood, blue tansy, olive oil ($43.75).

3. Deep Relief - This is a massage roll-on that’s great for soreness and general malaise, if you have a cold/flu etc. Peppermint, balsam fir, clove, vetiver, wintergreen, lemon, helichrysum, copaiba, coconut oil ($25.99).

4. Inner Child - “Helps reconnect with the inner self.” This has kind of a sad description which thankfully doesn’t apply to me, but I love the uplifting scent. Orange, tangerine, jasmine, ylang ylang, spruce, sandalwood, lemongrass, and neroli ($32.57).

You only need a tiny drop - I just rub it on my shoulders and let the steam do the rest.

They make a great gift - as long as you choose one that your friend won’t be insulted byThis set is like something out of an SNL skit, but the contents are really good blends … so ya’ll will laugh but I guarantee the recipient will use and love them.

What’s your chill out routine?  Bath, shower, pedicure?
