the cult of olio e osso

With over 25 years of experience as a makeup artist & stylist in the film industry founder of Olio E Osso Paola LaMorticella definitely knows her stuff when it comes to skincare. So when Paola discovered her infant son would get irritated skin when using prescription and over the counter creams, she decided to take matters into her own hands. She created her own balm to calm and soother her son’s skin naturally which eventually led to the creation of one of the ultimate cult beauty products, Olio E Osso balm (it means oil + bone). All of Olio E Osso’s products are handmade in small batches in Portland, Oregon (<- this was a surprise to me!!). Everything has an olive oil base, because Paola grew up using it for everything - cooking, beauty, cleaning etc.!

The tinted balms are seriously the best stuff on earth, plus the shape of the little stick is so lip-friendly. Balm No 9 Spring by Olio E Osso is a nice deep color that’s also deeply nourishing. Balm No 2 French Melon is the perfect coral with the yummiest summer flavor.

If you’re looking for more color, or maybe searching for that perfect Milanese red lip, you might be surprised to find that there’s a whole true color range too. The Begonia Crema Lipstick is long wearing, creamy and comes in the cutest skinny stick. The Monarca Lucente Lip Sheen can be worn by itself or layered over lipstick for a glossier finish. It’s a red hue with a hit of warm orange which is kind of a nice way to do a baby red lip … not too bold, but still a vivid vibe.

Lastly, please note THE DONKEY!
