I just got back from the Land of Lanyards … SXSW YA’LL!  I was at Texas Style Council, which was lovely, and the interactive conference, which was nerdy (in the best way).  It was beyond fun, even in the rain. I have some cool brands you’ve never heard of to share soon too.

But in the meantime, I need some beauty rest. I’ve been doing these trips that involve a 6.30am flight (4 am wakeup call) weeks in a row now; am I still alive?  Is this real life?

So I don’t know if you know this, but sleeping on a silk pillow is the best for your face and hair.  (I wrote about them in this post on how to grow your hair long). I received this amazing, soft, cool-temperature-feeling silk pillow from Charlotte & Co. and it’s my cuddlebug now.

The reduced friction prevents breakage and wrinklage, and the silk maintains “optimal skin moisture levels,” all of which I kind of buy actually.  It just feels like you’re not really sleeping on a surface, if that makes sense.

I highly recommend getting your own silk pillow. I thought it would be too slippery and weird, but it’s more like peau de soie, if you’re familiar with that matte silk feeling - and it looks super pretty!  I can’t wait to hit this thing tonight, seriously.

Does this: Reduces friction and regulates moisture levels for skin and hair during zzz’s
Is this: Charlotte & Co. Silk Pillowcase
