I did something unusual this morning - I went and bought the full size of a free sample. The lucky new member of my household is Alterna Luminous Shine Shampoo.

I know that’s what you’re supposed to do … but I rarely do it.  I feel like my scene is all about trying new things constantly, and buying full size of something is a bit counter to that - but this was too good to only use once.

                 

Alterna is a naturals-based salon brand. The bamboo line is organic, fair-trade and sulfate/sodium chloride-free.  It’s also color-safe.  And just to be a dork let me point out that this is some great copy -> “Because great hair should be sustainable.”

Anyway, the formula is amazing.  It’s really thick and different - like honey or sap - and it smells like Elizabeth Arden Green Tea perfume, except not perfume-y.  My hair’s been really dry and I feel like this breathed life back in.
