I covet hair ties. Really, I do. When I look down and find that my right wrist is free of any elastic, I feel slightly panicked.

1. They stretch and occasionally snap (ouch)

I’m sure you all have come in contact with the colorful little bands shown above, Twistbands. The brain behind the concept is mother (and now business owner) Jessica Frandson. One day she became tired of her hair ties pinching her wrist and getting caught in here hair, so she cut a soft piece of elastic trim and used it to secure here pony tail. And voila!
