Confession: I do not wash my face in the am.  It’s all I can do to brush my teeth and put on enough makeup to not scare people at the deli.

But as I’ve gotten old older, my skin is too dry in the morning to just slather on any kind of pigmented product like foundation/tinted moisturizer.  It goes on cakey. 

I was ignoring this fact, but like that actually happy single girl who meets the love of her life at Barnes & Noble while picking up a copy of PEOPLE Celebrity Babies, I have found myself in a long-term relationship with THE BEST MORNING LOTION EVER.  I did nothing to deserve this!  It’s like the lotion found me.

Fresh Rose Freshface Primer is everything I’ve ever wanted in a moisturizer. It smells amazing, it’s lightweight, and it’s silicone-free (unlike most primers … maybe it’s just me but the thought of silicone + my pores = not appealing). It sinks right in and leaves a gorgeous finish for foundation or tinted moisturizer.  It hasn’t made me break out at all - and I’m prone.

I noticed Sephora has a $10 kit with a mini version of my moisturizing lover and their Glow primer, which is more like a highlighter (I’d use it on cheekbones/lids/in the inner corner of my eyes but I don’t like it all over).  So I feel even better recommending these - so cheap that you can’t regret trying them.
