GREAT GIFT: Dead to Me

Melach 33 was born from Jennifer McClure’s desire to bring the sacred healing powers of the ancient world to your bod. McClure was fascinated by the timeless potency of Dead Sea minerals, produced by its intense levels of salt (melach in Hebrew). 21 of these minerals are essential to our bodies, promoting circulation, healing and rejuvenation. Did you know Cleopatra was like the Kris Jenner of the Dead Sea? She used it in her own beauty rituals and staked out the area to create [way-back-in-the] day spas. She knew there was good stuff in there and pimped out that beauty to VIP patrons.

Anyway, back to Jennifer. She packaged up all this Dead Sea goodness in formulas that also contain desert oils known for intense nourishment and anti-oxidant protection - including sweet almond and pomegranate oil. The packaging itself is very beautiful - clean, minimal and luxe.

The Silky Shea Body Butter is the type of product that normally scares me because - even though I need deep moisture - I cannot stand greasy body butters. HOWEVER - this a wondrous combo of a rich body cream (in payoff) but a water-y kind of lightness in terms of the way it absorbs. It’s almost like a gel-cream hybrid … not a butter at all. I’m on the very last dregs of this stuff and it’s only November - so can definitely say it’s a good holiday gift for this dry ass (literally) time of year ; ) The Nourishing Eye Cream is similarly rich-but-light, which works for me because I actually break out if I use a heavy cream around my eyes. (I’m not sure I would give an eye cream to anyone but my mama, but that’s up to you).
