There are A LOT of options for morning boosters - from collagen to algae to MCT and CBD. I feel like at points my coffee “optimization” routine has resembled those tupperware-type infomercials when she opens a cabinet and 99 things tumble out.
This pink tincture from Brooklyn-made cellular health brand Hales Bty has streamlined things quite a bit for me, and looked damn cute while doing it.
Packed with 800 mg organic CBD isolate (so, non-full spectrum - which has pros and cons), it’s a high level of CBD. What CBD does, in case you’ve been under a rock, is stimulate your endocannabinoid system, which helps regulate cortisol production and cellular inflammation - so basically, it’s a de-stressing agent. Scorpio Rising’s CBD tincture comes in an MCT oil base. MCT oil itself is generally considered a “brain fuel,” but factually it’s a vegetable-derived, easily absorbed type of fat that shows evidence of reducing candida, acting as an anti-inflammatory and healing agent, and - with limited clinical data - is said to boost cognitive power and possibly contribute to weight loss. So, that’s a definitely 2 in 1 for me, because I ALWAYS put MCT oil in my morning drink … and it’s easy not to go overboard on it when it contains $$$ worth of CBD. (Too much MCT oil is not great for your digestion).
Lastly, the best way to use this is to place drops under your tongue - and it tastes like delicious natural mint. So I love it as an after-coffee refresher to start the day in earnest with less stress, a brain refresh, & on-point breath ; )
