a greener clean
The Sunday Standard’s name alone gives me all the gotta-have-it vibes because my standard Sunday night ritual is lavishing my face and body with beauty potions. Emma Zwissler’s products are developed with blemish-prone skin in mind, after her struggles with cystic acne left her searching for a healthy way to repair her damaged skin from the inside, out. Her product development goal is to promote barrier repair and cellular renewal, eliminate blemish-causing impurities and restore balance to skin. Based in Milwaukee and Chicago (a work-life commute journey that I know VERY well as that was my jam for many years), she’s built a skincare wellness brand that offers spa-like luxury but in a very pure, natural form.
My favorite hero product is the Superfood Oil-to-Milk Cleansing Balm. It functions like a mini-mask, removing makeup and impurities with French green clay while nourishing and rebalancing with spirulina algae, castor oil, petitgrain and jojoba. I love to apply it after steaming my pores open to invite in the cleansing clay as well as the healthy, skin-feeding moisture!
