infinite ray

I’ve decided a good way to frame the sadness of summer ending is to remind myself that the sun is omnipresent, shining its wonderful but damaging rays deep into my skin ALL YEAR ROUND. Nothing is weirder to me than the feeling and smell of traditional sunscreen in the off season though … which is why I was absolutely psyched to discover Sonrei, a very new and different kind of sunscreen.

It’s a clear, balm-like gel that’s non-comedogenic, water-resistant, clean and reef friendly.

It really goes on like a soothing balm and is COMPLETELY CLEAR. It’s a very unique feel and even my son loved it … he is super crazy about sunscreen and hates that most sunscreen takes forever to blend in. I like to use it as a first layer before makeup because it really moisturizes without being greasy, and has antioxidant bonus ingredients too (C, E and Ferulic Acid). In 30 and 50 SPF versions, you can confidently em-balm yourself against the rays with none of the disgusting feel or look of most sunscreens (that’s only my opinion).

I also love that this clear sunscreen formula means you can easily apply and blend it away completely even on darker skintones - as you KNOW you should wear sunscreen regardless of your depth of tone, to prevent signs of aging and uneven pigmentation.
