You guys have probably noticed all these drugstores are carrying premium European brands now. You may have also noticed that all products look the same. You really have to stand there and read the copy to distinguish an eye cream from an anti-aging serum. So I was surprised to be stopped in my tracks the other day by a tiny swimming-pool blue deodorant stick type-thing.
It’s the Vichy Aqualia Anti-Fatigue Ice Effect Stick. And it is awesome.
You know how you’re supposed to put a metal spoon from the freezer on your eyes to de-puff them? Would you go up to a pole in winter and stick your eye on it? We know how that ends.
Well, this thing has all of that reward and none of the risk, because the gel stick exists in a permanent state of chilly. When you touch it on your eyes it feels wonderful. It’s a tiny bit damp but not greasy or wet, it instantly dries, and it’s perfectly fine under concealer. My eyes were super puffy and it truly did not onlymake them look better but made me feel better too.
