So I have never been a fan of airbrushed makeup
So I have never been a fan of airbrushed makeup because every time I’ve had it done (by a pro), it looked like full foundation Photoshop. What I always look for in a foundation experience is something that creates just the right amount of evenness - not actual coverage - so that you still see the natural variations in your skin’s tone coming through. Anything else is just fake looking.
At home airbrush stuff also always seemed really phony to me - because the air in the device isn’t as powerful as the pro ones so you might as well just mist on some aerosol foundation or whatever - what’s the diff. But, something good actually appeared on our desk.
Mineral Air is a little guy that evenly distributes a liquid mineral foundation.

Something about the combo of the foundation itself, which is this ultra-ultra-light liquid, and the device, which really does spray a very fine mist and not a lot of it either (you can obviously spray over the same area a few times to build coverage) was really genius. I just misted it over my face and patted my face with the palm of clean hands (this is a total Pat McGrath move), and peaced out. It comes with a brush but I didn’t need it.
The foundation comes in a range of shades up through a deep tone, and it’s really easy to customize your own blend. Ignore how whack the website looks - the product quality is excellent and I feel super lucky that I have this in my life.
